En su torre solitaria (In Her Lonely Tower) shows a tall, narrow green structure that rises vertically from a dark, fluid landscape. The surface of the tower is luminous, with lighter areas that suggest an internal glow. At its center, a doorway opens onto a small figure standing inside, facing outward. The surrounding terrain is unstable, with forms that resemble water, rock, or vapor, rendered in darker tones.
Sofía Bassi builds the image around the contrast between the vertical tower and the horizontal spread of the ground. The green structure stands apart from the rest of the scene and holds the figure in a fixed position. A small white bird appears in the lower left, close to the surface. The tower is a recurring form in Bassi’s work and is often linked to enclosure and separation. The bright surface and the contained figure give it the character of a closed space set within a shifting environment.
